Do not mistake my views for a hatred of capitalism. If we must have it, I just envision a wiser, kinder capitalism that respects the dignity of people. I seek a fairer balance of time spent working and time spent living.  But then, could we still call it capitalism? I question the need for anything that makes slaves of human beings.

Not everyone is suited or meant for college and many trade schools are waste of time and money.  What is needed is a new vision of what constitutes an education.  People should be tested in mid-childhood, at puberty, again at high school graduation, and once more in their early 20’s to determine their true inclinations and there should be such places of learning where people can be taught to make the best use of their natural abilities. And such testing should be offered throughout our lives as we continue to evolve so that our lives remain productive and meaningful.  Our schools do nothing to develop the human being; the entire system rests on mimicry, rote behavior, and what best serves the machine of capitalism.
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire is all the proof needed that Corporate America, unchecked, will become an abusive murderer of its workers.

People prove over and over again their willingness to be led and to be led at all costs to the detriment of their innate intelligence and dignity. People fear nothing more than self‐determination and therefore live out their lives in subjection, agitation, and misery.
Capitalism might be the best system, but it is also a system that works hand in hand with unrestrained industrialism.  It has as one of its aims to create a society of mindless, obedient workers. Each person becomes less an individual and more a drone, expendable when its production drops.

People say, “Don’t judge” but this is not correct. You must judge and judge on a consistent basis. The problem is not judging but making incorrect judgments based on personal preferences. Preferences are biased; judgments are or should be impartial assessments. You must make judgments in order to navigate the world safely.
